I don’t know about the rest of you, but my boys are not a big fan of back-to-school photos.  I skipped last year because I was not mentally prepared for the battle.  I’m not sure if it’s because boys are rarely enthusiastic about these photos or if it’s because mine are sick of having a camera pointed at them all of the time.  I’ll go with the first one.  They usually start out something like this….

I have to let the big one put on his favorite shirt before he’ll pretend to cooperate.

I gave the little one something to distract himself from the camera.

Cooperation doesn’t last long and this pretty much sums up how my boys feel when I say we’re all done!

Regardless of how much they don’t particular care to have their photos taken anymore (or anything that interrupts their video games), I’m certainly happy that they humor me occasionally.  I hope when they’re older and have kids of their own, they’ll remember these fondly and be grateful to have them to share with their own kiddos.
