We HAVE ARRIVED! | Las Vegas Photographer

In April, my family and I took our first trip to Legoland in Carlsbad, CA!  We had a great time riding the rides and taking in the amazing and intricate displays!

One of the displays that really drew me in was in the mini city area.  My husband and I were married at a small chapel in Las Vegas with some wonderful friends present and an Elvis impersonator to walk me down the aisle while a web cam broadcasted to our friends and family who couldn’t make it.  Vegas has always had such a special place in my heart.  I spent a little extra time getting just the shot I wanted of the mini city Vegas display.

At the time, I didn’t know how important this shot would become.

A few weeks after our Legoland visit, we got news that some dear friends suffered an unimaginable tragedy.  My friend lost his wife and their kids had to say goodbye to their mother.  She was one of the kindest people I had ever met.  I desperately looked through my extensive files of archived photos to find every photo I had of her to offer to her family.  They were one of the first families I ever photographed when I started my business in Los Angeles.  I’m so grateful that I saved the photos from their session even after all of these years.

While we were here as support for our friends, we felt that pull to Vegas more than usual and everything fell into place so quickly.  Now we are proud Nevadans (give me a while before that feels more natural to say than Californians).  We have been here just over a month and it feels like this is where we were always meant to be.

Thank you for welcoming my family so graciously into the community.
